NEW NOVA and not the VOLT (sounds re-volting) should be GM's new dance partner with the Toyota Prius hybrid. If GM was selling this puppy, just think of how many curious buyers would show up at your doorstep. Where can you build it?

UPLANDER Oh, pooh! I absolutely hate the big Jimmy Durante nose on this model. Manufacture alongside new Chevrolet Crossroad CUV at Lake Orion MI with with 3.6L V6 (255hp) 18/26 mpg engine. [150,000 units]

NOTES

1. COBALT: I am not particularly fond of that name. I'd much rather prefer a Cavalier...that sounds so much more dashing. What about gas mileage? Toyota Corolla has you beat with their 1.8L I4 (126hp) and 32/41 mpg. Get with the program!

2. MALIBU: Both Malibu engines (2.2L I4-144hp; 3.6L V6-217hp) seem underpowered and rather anemic when compared to Toyota Camry. Shouldn't that be the other way around? And shouldn't Malibu get better gas mileage?

3. IMPALA: The 3.6L V6 as configured in the Saturn Aura is more in line with what should be in the new rear wheel drive Impala, Monte Carlo, Nomad, El Camino and Camaro. The 4.6L V8 should be offered as an option. How about a Hybrid to round the line up nicely also?

4. NOMAD should be revived to compete with Dodge Magnum.

5. EL CAMINO sport truck should be revived also. There is a huge devoted fan base in America; and you only have to look to the success of the Holden Sport Ute 'down under' for a clue.
