HUMMER 1992 - 2009

If it ain't broke; don't fix it! Oh pooh, H1 has gone the way of the dodo bird. Well not exactly, you can still volunteer to chauffeur one of these rare beasts across some pretty rugged terrain. Just enlist at your local Army recruiting center!

H-Hour! D-Day!!

What should GM do about the iconic Hummer? Gas prices are killing the beast. Sales are plummeting through the showroom floor. The problem is quite simple, my dear Watson. It's the solution that boggles the mind.

Offer Hummer as a premium SUV (H2, H3 & HX) and pickup truck (T2 & T3). Hummers should be fully equipped with 2WD/4WD and hybrid technology. Hummer should be built on the same platforms as the Chevrolet Tahoe/ Cadillac Escalade and Chevy Colorado. Just plop a Hummer coach and body onto those platforms. GMC would relish the sales opportunity or they could be sold independently at Cadillac dealerships.

No need to say, "Goodbye old chum". Rather it would be to GM's advantage to continue this well known respectable marque.

So sad to hear that GM sold Hummer out to a Chinese automaker Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Company. Baa-ad move.

  • Hummer H2 Don't mess with success!
  • Hummer H3 Does life get any better than this?
  • Hummer H3T Whadya know? Somebody is listening out there. Looks awesome, doesn't it Mr Lutz? Grrr. I can see a lot of wild eyed buyers banging on the doors at midnight to grab a hold of one!
