Bummer! Another faux-pas by the sinking Blue Oval. Land Rover and Range Rover are 'keepers' that have instant international recognition, unlike the Lincoln Aviator and Navigator. Why not sell 49% of Land Rover to Tata and keep the controlling interest? It is obvious that Lincoln will never be able to compete in this league. And the profits are would be greater if Land Rover handled all Ford SUVs from now on. In hindsight and retrospect Land Rover should have shoved all Lincoln-Mercury-Ford SUVs out the door, but kept their technology. Land Rover should also borrow Jaguar engines (4.2L V8, 3.0 V6) instead of their own for better economies of scale.
